NASA & JPL's PERSEVERANCE ROVER HAS MISSION COMPONENTS SUPPLIED BY HEICO COMPANIES
On February 18, at 3:55pm EST, NASA's Perseverance rover touched down on the Red Planet, after a six-month 293-million-mile journey!
Perseverance is NASA's fifth and most technologically advanced rover, equipped with cameras and scientific instruments that will measure the geology of Mars and collect samples for hopefully an eventual return to Earth.
We congratulate NASA on this remarkable accomplishment, and are proud of the 4 HEICO companies, Apex Microtechnology, Sierra Microwave Technology, 3D PLUS and VPT, Inc., that have contributed to this historic achievement in space exploration.
Apex Microtechnology supplied its proprietary Power Amplifiers for Perseverance's Scanning Habitable Environments with Raman & Luminescence for Organics & Chemicals (nicknamed the “SHERLOC”), VPT, Inc. supplied DC-to-DC converters and EMI filters, while 3D PLUS supplied numerous products, including various Memory Modules, Latch-up Current Limiters, multiple Interfaces and its unique CMOS space-qualified camera. Sierra Microwave Technology supplied microwave communications hardware on the spacecraft.
